(Not losing my mind)Drive train gone getting on the A95

Here’s some current content, which only serves one purpose. For every ten posts, it’s good to mostly focus on your readers or followers or whatever you want to call them. However, it’s also important to show your personal side.
People want to do business, or even just interact, with other people they like. It’s that simple.

Natural order & how I got to Germany

If you’re new here, this blog is purposeless. Truly. Essentially I’m writing to eventually connect with potential clients. Or to be more clear, they know me elsewhere or meet me at some networking event, which I despise by the way, and then we connect on LinkedIn or tumblr or some other stumbling social media site… Continue reading Natural order & how I got to Germany

What I’ve done since the last time I blogged (last week just before #DigitalFreeSunday) – a long strange trip it’s been

It’s been another hell of a week, but I knew it was coming. So I planned accordingly. Quite a few things fall by the wayside when my life gets too busy, but the first thing’s blogging. I’m still writing, of course. Both professionally and privately. I’m working on a project right now that’s a dating… Continue reading What I’ve done since the last time I blogged (last week just before #DigitalFreeSunday) – a long strange trip it’s been

Do as I say, not as I do

You ever had one of those days? How about on that day, the Mahag dealer shows up late to an appointment & it all goes pear-shaped, as a result. Humpty Dumpty fell and Miriam was left to pick up the pieces. Try remembering, when people are jerks at Christmas, that everyone is the hero in his story. Just because you’re having an awesome day, doesn’t mean everyone else is, as well. And vice versa.

relaunching this blogging lark with a whimper in the night

Watching baseball in the middle of the night with a newborn in one arm and scattered thoughts running through my brain, I’m reaching for a decent explanation of why my digital scrawling is worthy of your (or even my) attention. For the last several years I haven’t bothered sharing my life’s minutiae, as I did… Continue reading relaunching this blogging lark with a whimper in the night

Just one more thing I wanted to read before I actually get something done

Rarely do I want to repost something word for word in its entirety here on the old Miscellaneous Blog, but today I desperately want to do exactly that. I’ve got tabs open on my laptop with articles I’d like to read and blogposts on which I’d like to comment. I’ve been devouring pieces about… Continue reading Just one more thing I wanted to read before I actually get something done

My beautiful heathen

Nearly as long as I’ve been blogging, I’ve been trying to avoid talking too much about twitter. For one thing, it’s incredibly boring if you’re not already there. So many people with whom I interact in my daily life ridicule the medium, and I gave up long ago any hope of changing their… Continue reading My beautiful heathen

Shedding the Kummerspeck

Why do I find myself going back again and again to photos of my trip to Seville? It’s not only that it’s such a beautiful place – I’ve seen my share of those. There’s something about Spain in general and Seville in particular. So this is a bending, sunlit corridor. At this particular moment,… Continue reading Shedding the Kummerspeck

shameless self promotion

Was about to say that I hadn’t talked about turtles in a while, but I went back and looked at my earlier posts on this blog and there’s nothing turtle-related. Not a damned thing. Which is a bit strange, because I’m really into turtles. And? There’s a beautiful human female riding atop the turtle. Not… Continue reading shameless self promotion

so blue I’ve got the greens (searching for a flat in Munich)

'A Hund ist er scho...'

Not sure where I first heard that line, but I think it was a singer one night in San Antonio at Jim Cullum’s place down on the Riverwalk. I’ve always loved the imagery. Most of you think the the Blues are bad, but you ain’t seen the Greens To be candid, I’m mostly cheerful… Continue reading so blue I’ve got the greens (searching for a flat in Munich)
